Jesus once wept in a cemetery, surrounded by death and people mourning their loss. I wonder does He weep to see us decorate our homes with celebrations of sadism and death at Halloween?
On that same occasion Jesus declared, ‘I am the resurrection and the life!’ and raised a man from the dead, issuing this command, ‘Take off the grave clothes and let him go!’
Maybe it’s time we stopped foolishly dressing ourselves in actions and attitudes that lead down the broad road to destruction. There is an alternative.
We can accept His invitation to life.
