If I came across a life-threatening road hazard would you be offended if I raise the alarm?
So why all the fuss when we talk about Heaven and Hell?
Jesus said, ‘In my Father’s house there are many permanent dwellings…I’m going to prepare a place for you…I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.’ (John 14 vs 1-3)
I could keep it to myself but it seems right to share nice things.
He also said, ‘Broad is the road that leads to destruction…Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in Hell.’ (Matthew 7 v 13 + 10 v28)
I know you don’t like people shoving stuff down your throat but maybe it’s something you should be aware of!
None of us like the feeling of being ‘preached at’, but if truth is going to set us free it must be communicated. I humbly offer these words of God’s Son for our serious consideration.
I could testify to the benefits of knowing Him as Saviour, Master, Shepherd and Friend, His peace beyond understanding, the joy in obedient service He shares with His followers, the comfort and security of His patient, forgiving grace and love, the inner bubbling of the ‘water of life’ and the freedom of living with the ‘fruit’ of His Spirit, but I’m starting to go on a bit.
You’d be better sussing it out yourself.
Just ask.
‘Since we have a great high priest Who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess…Let us approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.’ (Hebrews 4 vs 14 + 16)
